Noelle Riley’s writing career began more than 20 years ago in Colorado, where she worked as a reporter and editor for various publications, including the Rocky Mountain NewsThe Denver Post and the Denver Business Journal. Before moving to Suttons Bay with her husband, Shawn Riley, five years ago, she was the editor of the Craig Daily Press and Colorado Hunter magazine. 

Noelle is currently the marketing and communications director for the National Writers Series. She’s also editor of the Grand Traverse Scene Magazine, produced by the Traverse City Record-Eagle, and she’s the northern Michigan stringer for the New York Times.
