NWS co-founder Anne Stanton is a former executive director of the National Writers Series, serving from 2015 to early 2021. Anne previously worked as an investigative reporter for daily and weekly news organizations, writing award-winning stories of human drama and resilience. She also served as researcher/editor for two New York Times bestselling books. Anne workers as a freelance writer and editor and also serves as the editorial director for Mission Point Press, a Traverse City-based firm that provides a full slate of services to independent authors. Anne received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in journalism, graduating from the University of Michigan.
