NWS co-founder Anne Stanton is an emeritus executive director of the National Writers Series, serving from 2015 to early 2021. Anne previously worked as an investigative reporter for daily and weekly news organizations, writing award-winning stories of human drama and resilience. She also served as researcher/editor for two New York Times bestselling books. Anne workers as a freelance writer and editor and also serves as the editorial director for Mission Point Press, a Traverse City-based firm that provides a full slate of services to independent authors. Anne received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in journalism, graduating from the University of Michigan.
