Anne Stanton is one of the co-founders of the National Writers Series and currently serves as its executive director. She is also the editorial director for Mission Point Press, a Traverse City-based firm that provides a full slate of editorial, marketing and design services to independent authors.

Anne previously worked as an investigative reporter for daily and weekly news organizations, writing award-winning stories of human drama and resilience. She also served as researcher/editor for two New York Times bestselling books. Anne received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in journalism, graduating from the University of Michigan.
