Think writing a story in 50 words sounds impossible? It’s not! Micro-fiction is growing in popularity and is a wonderful way to hone your writing craft. Every image, word, and punctuation mark carries extra weight in such a small space. During this three-day intensive class, you’ll learn what microfiction is, study examples, try out various techniques, and write in response to several prompts. You will also receive detailed feedback from the instructor on three 50-word stories of your choice. Learn to write with brevity: a skill that will help you in all forms of writing!
All students will have the opportunity to publish their work in the 2025 NWS Literary Journal.
