Publish me in Manistee!

This course is designed to empower aspiring student authors by guiding them through the publishing process. Over six/seven weeks, students will:

• Build their confidence by sharing and refining their writing.
• Learn how to navigate submission platforms and craft professional cover letters.
• Gain experience working with feedback and preparing their work for publication.
• Celebrate their journey with a public reading and publishing party at somewhere like the library or local bookstore.

Each class balances critique sessions, practical workshops, and creative free writing with optional prompts to keep students inspired. By the end of the course, students will have the tools and knowledge to submit their work to real publications.

All students will have the opportunity to publish work in the NWS Literary Journal.
