Our top three limerick writers will win tickets to the Pit Spitters Back to School Game and a chance to read their limericks to the stadium before the first pitch is thrown!
Kids 8-18 are eligible to participate. Additionally, the winner will receive a $100 grand prize, the runner up will get $50, and third place will get $25.
Deadline to submit your limerick is July 25, 2025.
A little about limericks:
-Limericks are five line poems
-Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme with each other.
-Lines 3 and 4 rhyme with each other.
-They have a specific syllable pattern that goes:
