Hybrid, the first and last class are in person at the Ramsdell Theatre, with the remaining classes online via Zoom.
This course is designed to empower aspiring student authors by guiding them through the publishing process. Over six/seven weeks, students will:
Each class balances critique sessions, practical workshops, and creative free writing with optional prompts to keep students inspired. By the end of the course, students will have the tools and knowledge to submit their work to real publications.
All students will have the opportunity to publish work in the NWS Literary Journal.

She works supporting organizing and membership efforts for public school unions, raises sheep and goats with her husband, leads the Ludington Writers, and is editor in chief of Making Waves: A West Michigan Review. Her work has appeared in publications such as Transformational: Stories of NoMI Arts & Culture, Peninsula Poets, Variety Pack, and MSU’s Offbeat and OATS.
