Young people know how to use their imaginations. In this course, we will employ those imaginations by writing stories about the fantastic, through science fiction, fantasy, and magic realism. We will discuss the ways in which we use fantastic stories to explore our world and key strategies for getting started. We’ll also mix in some fundamental lessons about writing techniques. Who knows where this class could take us? Prerequisite: a willingness to be boldly imaginative.
