Do you have questions about the college application process? Are you unsure how to answer the Common App prompts, or what makes a great supplemental essay? Students, parents, caregivers, counselors, and academic professionals are welcome to join us for a free opportunity to ask questions about the Common App while learning tips and tricks for working together to complete a successful college essay! This course is complemented by our The College Essay: Tell Your Story course, which we are offering virtually in September and December 2026.
Dinner will be provided, and those who complete this course and post-course survey will be eligible for a Common App fee waiver (valued at $90)!
Audrey Irontree is the education director for the National Writers Series, and is a fiction writer, developmental editor, ghostwriter and educator. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Fiction degree from Northwestern University, her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and her Associate Degree from The Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
Her short story, “Alligator,” is a runner-up for The 2025 Adrift Short Story Contest and is forthcoming shortly from Driftwood Press. Her story, “The Toad” recently appeared in the Portland Review, and “Koan” was featured in Meridian, University of Virginia’s literary journal. She lives in Traverse City, where she spends her time reading, or with her horse, or making slow but steady progress on a draft of a novel! She loves teaching, animals, and being creative.
