About: Sam Collier
Sam Collier is a playwright, theater artist, and scholar. Her play A Hundred Circling Camps, which explores the history of American protest camps, was produced by Dogteam Theatre Project at Atlantic Stage 2 in 2024. Her other plays include Daisy Violet the Bitch Beast King, Silo Tree, and thing with feathers. Sam has taught playwriting for students of all ages, including with Front Street Writers, Interlochen Arts Camp, the Iowa Young Writers Project, and Cornell College. She holds an MFA in playwriting from the University of Iowa and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studies theater about climate change. She co-hosts, with Sarah Cho, the playwriting podcast Beckett’s Babies.
