We are thrilled to announce the 2024 National Writers Series Summer Gala! Our annual gala is a time to relax, bond with old and new friends, and fully enjoy the party. Tickets purchased for our gala helps support our year-round author events, creative writing classes for kids, poetry workshops at at-risk schools, and Battle of the Books, an exciting reading competition for 350 area kids.

This year’s gala features a cocktail hour, appetizers and dinner by Sugar 2 Salt, a talk by bestselling novelist Peter Heller, acoustic music, and a performance by Tilt Think, an improv group that takes comedy to hilarious heights. And you’ll take home a signed, hardcover copy of Burn, Heller’s newest book!

The event will be hosted at the Cathedral Barns at Grand Traverse Commons on Friday, August 23, 5 to 8 pm.
