Cindy Weaver was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. She worked for many years in banking before moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
During her two years in Milwaukee, she continued to work in banking until her daughter, Meghan, was born. She soon moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area where she worked as an office manager/bookkeeper for two different home builders, then as a cashier/office manager for an antique auctioneer, and as a front-desk associate for a large pediatric office. She also worked in retail and assisted her husband, Doug Weaver, at trade shows.
Son Zachary was born in Kansas City, so she and Doug decided to remain there to raise the children.
In 2013, she and Doug fulfilled a long-time dream of moving to Traverse City. Since that move she has worked as a billing clerk for Peg Dunn Nurse Midwife and as an on-line customer-service representative and sales associate for Cherry Republic.
She is looking forward to working for the National Writers Series and helping it grow onto the national stage.
